You know, that familiar nightlife district, the corpse in the freezer, the cute girl. Just line them up, follow the thread, and keep writing from there.

Everyone’s happy. Clap, clap, clap.

But I can’t do that.

Because this story is far too ordinary. So ordinary that even I can’t stand it.

If I told you this was a thrilling suspense story, packed with one climax after another, then by the time you reached the end, you would probably... well... Maybe you wouldn’t be furious, but you’d at least be disappointed, wouldn’t you?

Ah. Without meaning to, I’ve gone and written another thing I don’t know how to recommend to anyone.
