Boku's mom is due to give birth any day, so she and his dad have sent him out to the countryside to live with his aunt so they can have less on their plate. Boku is the inquisitive, exploratory type, so even though he doesn't know the town or anyone in it, he makes it his mission to explore every nook and cranny. Along the way, he'll make new friends and participate in a number of staple summer activities in the Japanese countryside. But as with real life, time flies when you're having fun.

There are many games to play, bugs and fish to catch, and items to collect around town while you explore and make new friends, but there's only so much time in each day, and summer break is only so long. The clock is always ticking while you're in control of Boku, so you'll have to pick and choose how to spend your time in an effort to let him have the most enjoyable summer vacation possible!
You'll catch bugs to battle in rock-paper-scissors-style turn-based RPG battles, go fishing to learn what's in the waters in and around town, use tools to open up new paths to explore, make a variety of new friends, and enjoy all kinds of staple summertime activities in the Japanese countryside.
